Teach Me Vintage Style!

Two Bucks Til wednesdayThey are Perth’s vin­tage queens, one half of Two Bucks ‘til Wednes­day, Han­nah McGrath and Anna Brown will be dish­ing out their advice on how to make your vin­tage finds, right for you.

Their work­shop will teach you how to alter and style your vin­tage pieces so they don’t look like baggy, out-dated pieces of material.

If you’ve ever wanted to know basic sewing tech­niques, how to achieve suc­cess every time you rifle through op-shop racks, how to see the poten­tial in any item and basic fash­ion and tex­tile knowl­edge, then this is where you need to go.

The vin­tage styling work­shops will take place on the first and last Sat­ur­day of August, 1st and 29th from 2 – 4pm at the spiffy new Pigeon­hole cabin space in the Bon Marche Arcade, 80 Bar­rack St, Perth.

Atten­dees need to bring:

- a piece or two of op shop/vintage cloth­ing you’ve found that needs to be altered/renovated/ styled to be more wear­able. Exam­ple: huge, long dresses with shoul­der pads, maybe, or skirts and blouses with awe­some fab­ric that are just not gen­er­ally wear­able
– a pair of scis­sors
– a note­book and pen
– a sense of adventure!
