They are Perth’s vintage queens, one half of Two Bucks ‘til Wednesday, Hannah McGrath and Anna Brown will be dishing out their advice on how to make your vintage finds, right for you.
Their workshop will teach you how to alter and style your vintage pieces so they don’t look like baggy, out-dated pieces of material.
If you’ve ever wanted to know basic sewing techniques, how to achieve success every time you rifle through op-shop racks, how to see the potential in any item and basic fashion and textile knowledge, then this is where you need to go.
The vintage styling workshops will take place on the first and last Saturday of August, 1st and 29th from 2 – 4pm at the spiffy new Pigeonhole cabin space in the Bon Marche Arcade, 80 Barrack St, Perth.
Attendees need to bring:
- a piece or two of op shop/vintage clothing you’ve found that needs to be altered/renovated/ styled to be more wearable. Example: huge, long dresses with shoulder pads, maybe, or skirts and blouses with awesome fabric that are just not generally wearable
– a pair of scissors
– a notebook and pen
– a sense of adventure!
It’s $20 at the door, but you need to register as places are limited. To register, email your contact details to: cabinfever@pigeonhole.com.au with VINTAGE WORKSHOP REGISTRATION in the subject line, specifying which date you would like to attend!
